Disney_s Coronado Springs Resort | Walt Disney World Resort

We recommend that you stay right on the property where the conference is being held, the Disney World Coronado Springs Resort.  It is a wonderful facility, designed with an American Southwest theme, that invokes the spirit and romance of Spanish-colonial Mexico.  We’ve been able to secure a room rate of $129/night (which is nearly $50 less than what they charge normally for this time of yeat), but the room block is limited.  You are encouraged to make your reservations early.

For your benefit, Disney World is extending the $129/night room rate for 3 days before and 3 days after the conference.   Here is a recent review from a conference attendee (not MILOfest) of the Coronado Springs Resort. Enjoy and email us at info[at]milofest[dot]com with any questions.

Here is the description of the resort from Disney World’s website:

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is an American Southwest-themed Disney Moderate Resort hotel set on Lago Dorado—a glimmering 22-acre lake—that invokes the spirit and romance of Spanish-colonial Mexico.

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is located between Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park.

Follow in the footsteps of the legendary Spanish explorer, Don Francisco de Coronado, and discover the beauty and fantasy of a unique Resort that reflects the romance, adventure and idealism of his legendary search for the 7 cities of gold.

From the colorful spring-fed Fountain of the Doves to the hidden treasures of the Mayan-ruin themed Dig Site pool, escape to a tranquil lakeside vacation destination where relaxation is more valuable than the most precious metals on earth.

Arranged around the charming lake, the brightly colored Spanish-style Guest rooms, conference facilities, shops, restaurants and cantinas evoke a relaxing atmosphere inspired by a placid lifestyle where time goes by just a little bit slower than usual.

The 1,917 Guest rooms are separated into 3 distinctly themed areas. The Casitas offer an urban terra-cotta paradise. The rustic Ranchos resemble charming Southwestern pueblos. Cabanas provide a quaint beachfront retreat complete with cozy hammocks. Request your favorite.

The Mayan pyramid-themed Dig Site features a sprawling pool with a jaguar-inspired water slide. Want to unwind after a busy day of exploring? The 22-person hot tub is one of the largest at any Walt Disney World Resort hotel. Between dips you can stroll down the nature trail or grab a poolside drink at Siestas Cantina.

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is distinguished by its 220,000 square feet of meeting space—including the 86,000 square-foot Veracruz Exhibit Hall and the 60,214 square-foot Coronado Ballroom.

When you arrive, check in at the Main Lobby located in the El Centro building. The Main Lobby is located adjacent to La Fuente de Las Palomas—”The Fountain of the Doves”—a brightly tiled fountain topped with a traditional Mexican symbol of hospitality; a pineapple.

You might not find gold at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, but the treasure you will find is sure to make you feel like you have all the money in the world.

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort is a smoke-free Resort. Smoking is permitted only in designated smoking locations.
